Our spaces are designed to make every guest feel welcome, safe, and cared for, while offering an authentic connection to Crete — a timeless essence of hospitality passed down to us by our grandmothers, our very own Kapetánissas.

One of our studios is accessible for guests with disabilities and limited mobility, because true hospitality cares for everyone. During your stay, you’ll find clear encouragement and provisions for recycling, and we compost your organic waste.
Local Experiences
We believe that travel can be more than relaxation. That’s why we offer curated experiences by partnering with local producers, such as wine, honey, olive oil tasting and locally brewed beer tasting. These moments connect you to the land not just as a visitor, but as someone who values what lies beneath it.

Addressing Overtourism in Crete
We do all this because Crete, like many destinations, feels the social and environmental pressure of overtourism. Limited water resources, especially in the summer months, and environmental destruction of beaches and natural landscapes are a few examples of the challenges that Crete faces. At Kapetánissa Concept Studios we have consciously decided not to include a pool, knowing that every drop of water here is precious. Instead, we focus on creating a stay that is both comfortable and meaningful — where simple choices make a difference without taking away from your experience.
